'The name Jodha first came up in the 19 th century when Colonel Tod, a Britisher, and not a professional historian, mentioned Jodhabai in his book Annals and Antiquity of Rajasthan,' Ahmad adds. But the name Jodha is not mentioned anywhere. It further says that Mariam Zamani is a title referred to the lady who gave birth to Prince Salim, who became Emperor Jehangir.
